Napa Communities Firewise Foundation: 2023 NC23PW Project

Project Roads: Glass Mountain Road, Crystal Springs,Diamond Mountain, Silverado Trail and Langtry Road

Glass Mountain Road Closure

Please anticipate Glass Mountain Road being closed from 12/12/23 until 12/16/23 tentatively. Our crews are working on hazardous technical tree removals from 7:00AM to 4:00PM.


  • Our work days are Monday through Saturday.

  • Please plan accordingly if you will be traveling within this area.

  • Our lunch schedule will have roads open without delay between 11:00AM to 11:30 AM approximately.

  • Crews are off the road every day at approximately 4:00 PM.

Estimated completion is end of December, 2023. (For the various project roads listed above)

What exactly are we doing?

We are diligently establishing essential fuel breaks and defensible space along the roadways to safeguard our community from potential wildfire hazards. Through the use of state-of-the-art machinery, we skillfully clear trees and vegetation that could pose risks as wildfire fuel sources. Our highly trained crews possess the expertise to preserve our cherished trees while effectively maintaining our area's safety and protection.

Where is this Project taking place?

Oakville Grade Rd., Lower Dry Creek Rd., Redwood Rd., Mount Veeder Rd., White Sulpher Springs Rd., Lokoya Road, Wall Rd. & White Hall Lane.

How will this affect me?

Expect up to 30 minute road delays with 1 way traffic control and lane closures. Expect traffic control between

6:30 AM to 4:00 PM with a

Lunch Break from 11:00 AM - 11:30 AM

Please be mindful of our crews while driving through our work-zones.

How long will this project take?

Our crews are working as fast as possible, utilizing mechanized equipment to make this project go by smoothly for everyone affected. This projects timeline is from July to December of 2023.
